What is Full Cycle?®

Americo’s long-standing commitment to sustainability is well-known throughout the Jan/San industry. For over twenty-five years, we’ve honored that commitment by producing floor pads made with 100% recycled PET and natural fiber. As the need for green cleaning solutions has grown ever more pressing, we’ve remained dedicated to manufacturing products designed to deliver high caliber floor care while reducing our impact on the environment.

In 2014, we took the next step to complete the cycle by introducing our Full Cycle® line, a cutting-edge floor pad technology specially formulated to biodegrade in a fraction of the time once discarded into a landfill, compared to conventional pads.* Later that year, Americo won the ISSA Innovation Award for this exceptional product line. Another milestone followed in 2017, when Full Cycle® floor pads became the first products certified to the Green Seal™ Standard for Environmental Innovation (GS-20). This prestigious certification instills consumers with the confidence that Full Cycle® floor pads meet uncompromising standards for sustainability.

Comes From Post Consumer and Industrial Recycled Waste

All of the synthetic (polyester) fiber used in floor, hand and utility pads produced by Americo, comes from recycled materials. Primary sources of these materials are recycled soda and water bottles.

*ASTM D5511 lab testing showed that up to 92.5% of the biodegradable material in Americo’s Full Cycle^® floor pad biodegraded in 616 days, as compared to 16.4% of our conventional pads. Such lab tests represent optimal conditions and often show faster results than actual landfill conditions. The actual rate of biodegradation of Americo’s Full Cycle^® pads and all other plastic materials in landfills will be slower and more variable, dependent upon actual landfill conditions.
